Services

  • Conditions

I treat a wide variety of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders. I have expertise in many areas including anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, separation anxiety, behavioral problems (including ODD, IED), tic disorders, parent-child relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, BPD, mood disorders, psychosis, catatonia, eating disorders, complications from traumatic brain injuries and many sleep issues. I am very experienced in working with individuals with developmental differences including autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

  • Approach

I have a practical and evidence-based approach to care. I work with patients and families to complete a comprehensive evaluation, which generally occurs over two to three sessions. Although obtaining an accurate diagnosis is critical to understanding and treatment, I also believe that individuals are unique and rarely fit neatly in a diagnostic box. After the initial evaluation, we will work together to create an individualized treatment plan that may include psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, or medication management. My goal is to use a holistic approach and to keep medications as simple as possible.

  • Treatment

I am currently accepting new patients. I see patients in person and over video and am available for psychotherapy (‘talk therapy’), medication management, or consultation. If after our comprehensive evaluation, I don’t believe that I will be able to provide the best care for you, I will work to refer you to others that may be more suitable. Please note, I am unable to provide care for individuals outside of the state of California. I do not offer psychological services such as comprehensive neuropsychological testing or observational ASD assessments.

  • Billing and Fees

I am an “out of network provider.” Although I may be listed on your insurance plan, I do not accept insurance in my private practice. A superbill can be provided, which you may submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I am unable to accept patients with Medi-Cal or Medicare at this time. Please call for fee details; my hourly rates are competitive with other private practice child and adolescent psychiatrists in the area.
